Comparison of volleyball and basketball conditioning

Author: Kristýna Voleská Title: Comparison of volleyball and basketball conditioning Objectives: The aim of the study was to compare the conditioning of volleyball and basketball. The thesis examines the structure of individual conditioning preparations, differences and similarities in training methods and training goals. Methods: We used a search method to find information and knowledge about conditioning in volleyball and basketball, then we processed the data and compared the materials with each other. Results: The study summarizes the main findings and discusses the effect of conditioning on volleyball players compared to basketball players. This thesis shows that volleyball players' conditioning has its own specific needs but also shares some training principles with other sports. Title: The analysis of the preparation period in ice hockey players over 33 years of age Objectives: The main goal of the thesis was to analyze the development of the explosive strength and power in ice hockey players of 33 years of age during the preparation period. The diploma thesis summarizes the theoretical background of the chosen topic expanding it to the specific player groups. Additional goals of the empirical part included longitudinal analysis perpetrating to the results of the output motor tests, analysis of the effectivity of an intervention training plan applicable during the preparation period, evaluating output and input results of the motor test. Further goals integrated the comparisons of different level ice hockey players and the specifics of their preparation periods. Methods: The study included 3 participants, who contributed to the longitudinal study, which evaluated their motor skills and further participated in the experimental intervention training plan. The analysis of the explosive strength and power used standardized battery of measures. This battery included long jump, five two-footed jump, throw with a heavy ball (3kg) with an overstep and the back side of the thigh strength standing and sitting. Title: Coaching of Fitness Basketball Training in Adults Basketball Objectives: The aim of this work was to deal with literary research and to create a training guide to men's fitness training for basketball coaches. In this research I have worked with up-to-now experience which I have extended by translation of foreign literature and basic human physiology. Methods: Research and comparison from foreign and Czech literature which is is concerned with sports training in basketball. Results: The thesis is conceived as a comprehensive concept of a fitness training for adult basketball players. Because this study is supplemented by an knowledge from foreign sources and basic basketball preconditions, it may be used as a fitness training giude or an information source for basketball couches and trainers. Health aspects are introduced as a part of the study too. The fitness training, in a basketball environment, is characterised by a connection of a perfect technical performance and a high level of a speed and power requirements. It is very important to apply all exercises in an areal and temporal distress. Therefore, a basketball game has very high demands on a motor coordination, dexterity and a performance speed. The evaluation of training units by basketball's players in the categories U12 and U14

Title: The evalation of training units by basketball's players in the categories U12 and U14. Objectives: Create a training units in the basketball for players category U12 and U14. These training units are always focused on training, physical condition training, game training and combinaton of the previous parts. We have to implement these trainings, create questionnaries for the players and get the training evaluation from them. Methods: There was used a professional literature for creating the training unit in this work. The literature is from the field of sport training, didactics of sport games and basketball literature. We use quantitative type of research. We analyse the ratings obtained from the training units for categories U12 and U14. Results: The results show that the most popular training units are those, which aimed at the training game. But the least popular are training units focused on practice for category U12 and physical condition training for U14. Fitness training in performance football

Title: Fitness training in performance football Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis is the characterization and analysis of information about fitness training at a performance level of a football team that trains 2-3 times a week. Subsequent comparison and verification of adequate knowledge gained from optimal resources are used to improve fitness condition during yearly training cycle. Methods: First, the information about fitness training was compared based upon the analysis of the scientific literature. Secondly, the model training units focused on individual fitness assumptions were created. Thirdly, research data in the form of a survey from football coaches was compiled. Finally, field tests that were designed to improve performance level were applied. Results: In the thesis I found that a fitness training for football in performance level is as important in both preparatory periods as in fitness training of professionals. Although, it is much less intense. Based upon the analysis of the verified data and resources, the objectives of this thesis were achieved and hypotheses were confirmed. Title: Summarizing study about the role of fitness coach in football Objectives: The aim of this work is to create a proposal of a content of the educational programme "FAČR fitness coach". This educational programme will serve to definition of specialized capability of fitness coaches who cause in football and to determine their role and tasks in the scope of sport preparation football players. Methods: In our thesis we synthesized the results of the research of several research files and fields. We compiled and evaluated the questionnaire "The importance of fitness coach in the professional football", which we presented to the head coaches of the teams from 1. Gambrinus league. Results: The result of Our work is the proposal of the content of study programme "FAČR fitness coach". The content of this study programme was created on the basis of partial results of the research which are elaborately analysed in the relevant sections of this work. Prolems of the sport preparation of youth

Title: Youth Sports Preparation Issues Objectives: The objective of the diploma thesis is to find out the intervention programme effectiveness using specific and semi-specific character exercises in relation to the enhancement of fitness training pre-conditions of the young football players belonging to the U 16 category. Methods: A group of players, who were subjected to testing, consisted of 12 players of younger junior category at the age of 16 years (year of birth 1997) who are playing younger junior league. This group was involved in a two-month process of intervention. The exercises were applied every day in both months during the main contest period. Before joining the intervention, players were subjected to entry tests, then, a two-month training cycle began. After that, the players underwent final tests which were exactly the same as the entry tests. Results: The section of the diploma thesis bringing tangible results involves their evaluation which is available in the submitted protocols. Final results are presented in a well arrange way in the form of charts and graphs followed by their evaluation. Title: Condition training in hotel fitness center Purpose: Main purpose of the compilation is to make a research about active lifestyle and to compare avilable informations from literature. I also focused on body exercise deficiency in today′s society and the function of fitness center. The objective of my work is to evaluate the goals and preferences of the fitness center clients. Method: In my work I analyzed scientific publications and compared avilable opinions and informations of the specialists engaged in reasearch of active and helathy lifestyle, insufficiency of body exercise and possible health complications connected to those issues. With a questionary i gathered the informations from hotel fitness clients about their goals and preferences. Results: Absence of active lifestyle is a serious problem of today′s society. Evolution of the society changes our lifestyle in a negative way, so it is necessary to compensate in artificially, for example in fitness centers. Basketball conditioning training workout

Title: Basketball conditioning training workout Objectives: The aim of this thesis is based on a survey to determine importance of fitness training in basketball, whether basketball players are using service of a conditioning coach or not, frequency, focus on fitness, equipment, additional sports etc. Methods: Data needed to process this thesis came out of a non-standardized anonymous questionnaire, which was created for professional basketball players and players of different performance levels. The reason is a opinion comparison of players of different skill levels. After obtaining the necessary data I evaluate the general characteristics and selected indicators. Results: The results of the thesis is confirmed by the survey (n = 55 male respondents). Fitness trainer representation is at more than 80% responces. Almost all respondents follow some kind of a fitness training plan, either directly led by a fitness trainer or a basketball coach.
